REMEDIAL WORKS

Remedial Passive Fire Protection Works

When a report or inspection identifies passive fire protection issues, the next step is carrying out the remedial work. DC Fire Protection puts right fire stopping and barrier defects in existing buildings, agreeing the scope, access and records with your team.

Start from the findings you have

Send us the relevant extracts from your report, your schedule of defects, drawings and any photographs you hold. Tell us where the building is and what prompted the enquiry, so we can discuss whether the work is within our installation scope and what further information we need.

Agree scope, access and programme

Tell us about occupied areas, restricted spaces and any site procedures that affect access. These requirements should be discussed before installation arrangements are agreed.

The extent of the work, the areas included and any exclusions should be clear before the work starts.

Records of the remedial work

We use Bolster to support the recording of installation work. Agree the records your team needs and how the information will be handed over as part of the scope, so you have a clearer record of the work carried out.

If you need a survey first

Our main work is the installation and remedial work itself. Where the existing conditions need to be understood before work is agreed, we can arrange a passive fire protection survey. We do not provide fire risk assessments, and we can work from the findings of any report you already hold.

Frequently asked questions

What should I send?

The building location, the reason for the enquiry, the relevant extracts from your report or schedule of defects, any drawings, and any known access restrictions.

Do you carry out surveys?

Surveys are a secondary service. We can arrange one if you need to understand the existing conditions first, but our main work is the installation and remedial work. Once you have a report, we can discuss the work it identifies.

Can you work in occupied buildings?

Tell us about occupied areas and site procedures when you enquire. Access arrangements are agreed before work is arranged.

Can our team access the records?

Ask about the available Bolster access and handover arrangements when agreeing your project.

Have a project or remedial works requirement to discuss?

Tell us about the building, its location and the work you need. If you already have a report, drawings or a schedule of works, mention them in your enquiry so we can discuss the next step.
